TICKET EXAMINATION MACHINE AND CONTROL METHOD OF THE SAME

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a ticket examination machine having high convenience, and further to provide a control method of the ticket examination machine.SOLUTION: A ticket examination machine comprises: a storage section; a transportation mechanism; a cutter; a ticket collection section; a detection section; and a control section. The storage section is loaded with a rolled ticket medium where a cutting region is set at constant intervals. The transportation mechanism transports the ticket medium stored in the storage section along a transportation path. The cutter cuts the ticket medium transported by the transportation mechanism. The ticket collection section collects the ticket medium cut by the cutter and transported by the transportation mechanism. The detection section detects a leading end of the ticket medium and a position of the cutting region of the ticket medium on the transported path. The control section calculates a surplus length from the cutting region to a leading end of the ticket medium on the basis of detection results of the detection section and controls the transportation mechanism and the cutter such that the ticket medium is cut as a waste ticket on the basis of the surplus length calculated.
