PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a chiral bicyclic diene ligand having a tert-butylamide group contributing to the formation of hydrogen bond, and a chiral transition metal complex for efficiently obtaining optically active material.SOLUTION: This invention relates to a chiral bicyclic diene ligand represented by formula (1), and a chiral late transition metal complex purified by a reaction formula represented by formula (2), wherein R-Rare H, an alkyl group, or an alkoxy group; n is 0 or 1 methylene chain; M is a late transition metal; and L is a ligand replaceable with a ligand of formula (1).
