A method for producing water-absorbing resin particles by inverse suspension polymerization of a water-soluble ethylenic unsaturated monomer in a carrier fluid, wherein the method for producing water-absorbing resin particles comprises conducting the inverse suspension polymerization reaction in the presence of an organic acid monoglyceride.
