The objective of the invention is to reduce the load of an image recognizing process or improve the accuracy thereof. To accomplish this objective, an image reception apparatus (40), which is configured to perform data transmissions/receptions via a communication network (16), comprises input units (65), an image extraction unit (45), a control unit (41) and a calibration execution unit (491). The control unit performs a control to request an image recognition apparatus (20) to perform an image recognition process of either a partial image extracted by the image extraction unit or content recognition information generated from the partial image and to acquire, from an additional information delivery apparatus, additional information based on a result of the image recognition process. The calibration execution unit cooperates with the image recognition apparatus to perform a calibration process, thereby setting a predetermined parameter. |
