ILLUMINATION, COMMUNICATION AND INFORMATION DISPLAY SYSTEM FOR SUITS USED IN EXTREME ENVIRONMENTS

The invention relates to a system to be built into suits intended for extreme environments, said system including an alternative means for communication, display of vital signs, camouflage or mimicry, as well as an illumination device. For this purpose, the system comprises an electronic subsystem with a processor for combining and developing such functions. The system has the following important properties: it allows hands to be kept free, it is lightweight and easy to replace (in the event of a fault) and it allows integration with communication systems and technologies. This is important for the above-mentioned suits, such as space suits and wetsuits, where manoeuvrability and communication with others can be important. Another novelty of the invention is that, by displaying patterns, suits can be used for camouflage and mimicry in different circumstances and in a dynamic manner.
