The purpose of the present invention is to provide an ATM user assistance device which performs image recognition, by means of a camera (1) for monitoring users of an ATM machine and on an image captured by the camera (1), so as to recognize the appearance and conditions of a user being monitored (e.g., man or woman, age, hand-carried baggage, etc.), and which automatically selects and provides service according to the image recognition results. An ATM user assistance device according to the present invention comprises: a camera (1) which monitors users of an ATM machine; an image recognition means (2) which recognizes the gender and age of an ATM user, hand-carried baggage, etc., from an image captured by the monitoring camera (1); and a means which receives the recognition results from the image recognition means (2) and performs control to automatically select a user assistance component or user assistance function (6) matching the user's needs, provide the selected user assistance component or user assistance function (6) to the ATM user, and, after the ATM user has completed the ATM transaction, return the provided user assistance component or user assistance function (6) to the original state thereof on the basis of the image captured by the camera (1). |
