PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To easily register and manage items.SOLUTION: There is provided an item management device including: an item storage part which stores an item record, including an item image obtained by imaging an article managed by a user and a virtual discard flag indicating virtual discarding, for each item; an item registration part which acquires an item image and registers a new item record including the acquired image in the item storage part according to registration designation by the user; an item update part which updates the virtual discarding flag included in a selected item record into an ON state according to discarding designation by the user; and a list generation part which generates a list of item records having their virtual discarding flags set into the ON state.
