Provided in the present invention are an information transmitting method, an information receiving method, an information transmitting device, and an information receiving device. The information transmitting method is applicable in the information transmitting device and comprises: selecting a target transmission mode from transmission modes for a to-be-transmitted short message on the basis of a selection command received, where the transmission modes comprise a disappear-after-reading transmission mode and a regular transmission mode; when the target transmission mode is the disappear-after-reading transmission mode, determining whether or not the to-be-transmitted short message is a multimedia message, and when the determination result is no, converting the to-be-transmitted short message into a multimedia message; adding a disappear-after-reading attachment to the multimedia message and transmitting the multimedia message added with the disappear-after-reading attachment to an information receiving device, thus allowing the information receiving device to delete, on the basis of the disappear-after-reading attachment in the multimedia message received, the content in the multimedia message after reading. By means of the technical solution of the present invention, when a multimedia message is read, the content in the multimedia message is deleted directly and not saved, thus increasing the degree of privacy of multimedia messages. |
