<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To simplify the configuration of an apparatus and obtain high-quality printing results. <P>SOLUTION: A printing apparatus is the printing apparatus connected by an image generating apparatus, a first transfer path, and a second transfer path. The printing apparatus includes: a printing means, which prints image data at first resolution; a first data control means, which receives the image data at the first resolution from the image generating apparatus via the first transfer path; a second data control means, which receives image data at second resolution lower than the first resolution from the image generating apparatus via the second transfer path; and an image output control means, which receives the image data at the first resolution from the first data control means, carries out control to cause the received image data at the first resolution to be printed without change by the printing means, receives the image data at the second resolution from the second data control means, and carries out control to cause the printing means to print the received image data at the second resolution while converting it to the image data at the first resolution. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT |
