The padlock has a blocking plate (36) that is provided between a pin (24) and a lock cylinder core (50) which is fastened in a lock element (20). The entrainer formation (54,54') of the lock cylinder core is projected into the plane of the engagement element (28) through an opening (40) of the blocking plate. The opening is designed, such that a rotational movement of the lock cylinder core is possible and a marginal region of the opening is enabled to form an abutment for the entrainer formation restricting the rotational movement of the lock cylinder core. An independent claim is included for a tool for padlock. |
