<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To continue automatic brake control up to a proper timing, without arranging a sensor for detecting existence of a collision with an obstacle in one's own vehicle, in an automatic brake control device. <P>SOLUTION: An automatic brake control device detects an obstacle existing in front of one's own vehicle, and performs automatic brake control for braking the one's own vehicle when the collision possibility of colliding the one's own vehicle and the obstacle is high by a predetermined value or more. After starting the automatic brake control, the automatic brake control device confirms whether the obstacle of an object exists, in the timing just before passing a collision predicting time for predicting that the one's own vehicle and the obstacle of the object collide. When confirming that the obstacle of the object exists, the automatic brake control device continues the performance of the automatic brake control up to time after the collision predicting time passes, and when confirming that the obstacle of the object does not exist, the automatic brake control device stops the performance of the automatic brake control when the collision predicting time passes. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT</p> |
