The support has a control device (516) designed to deliver a control signal (514) to an actuator e.g. mechanical actuator (512) and piezoelectric actuator. The actuator accelerates a rotor (500) or a stator (502) in an acceleration phase from a neutral position towards a working position. The actuator is braked in a brake phase, where the rotor or the stator loosens a contact with the actuator, stator and the rotor. The rotor or the stator is strongly accelerated in such a manner that the working position is achieved by the rotor or the stator after loosening the contact with the actuator. An independent claim is also included for a method for operating a support for supporting a rotor at a stator.
