<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To allow a specific group to use protection of file data in a specific region, reduce a burden on a user, and minimize confidential information to be managed by the user. <P>SOLUTION: In order to protect information on a PC, a user 100 stores data in either a storage apparatus 109 or an external storage apparatus 110, for a specific region (all regions of each drive, each designated folder or the like) from an application 101, while automatically encrypting the data unconsciously, by a file data storing act. Authentication information mandatory for referring to the data in the specific region is used as a folder encryption key in encryption, and stored in a user authentication information encryption key storage part 118 so that the key can be commonly used in encrypting the data in other than the specific region as well as for the encryption of the specific region. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2008,JPO&INPIT</p> |
