<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a semiconductor device and its control method in which high speed data processing and a large amount of data processing in which power consumption is suppressed can be selected in one nonvolatile memory. <P>SOLUTION: The invention includes the semiconductor device having a memory cell array having a nonvolatile memory cell, a page (region) included in the memory cell array and storing page data (region data), a WR latch circuit (first storage part) storing data from the memory cell array and after that outputting the data to the outside and a control circuit, and its control method. And, the control circuit selects a standard read mode (step S24 to S28) in which page data are stored in the WR latch circuit from the memory cell array and after that the page data are output to the outside, or a high speed read mode (step S12 to S22) in which a plurality of divided data in which page data is divided are stored in the WR latch circuit from the memory cell array and the divided data are output to the outside. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2008,JPO&INPIT</p> |
