PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a facility for processing plate-like article, capable of and inexpensively moving a box or putting the plate-like articles in and out of the box while employing a simple configuration. SOLUTION: An carry-in side stationary cargo receiving pedestal 61 and a carry-out side stationary cargo receiving pedestal 71 freely supportable the box are provided separately on both sides of a processing means 20 for executing carry-in/out processing of plate-like articles 1 for the box 11, a carry-in fork device 81 is provided between the processing means 20 and the pedestal 61 and a carry-out side fork device 91 is provided between the processing means 20 and the pedestal 71. Further, the processing means 20 is provided with a conveying device 31 capable of conveying the plate-like articles in an orthogonal direction B through an opening portion 11b, and an ascending/descending body 52 consisting of an ascending/descending device 41 for ascending/descending the box without interference by the conveying device and supporting the box on the ascending/descending device, and the fork bodies 84 and 94 of the fork device are configured so as to freely laterally move and ascend/descend over the adjacent stationary cargo receiving pedestal and the inside of the processing means.
