PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To be able to preserve a biodegradable resin such as an aliphatic polyester-based resin, etc., by inhibiting its hydrolysis during the preserving period of the biodegradable resin and preserving stably for a long period of time. SOLUTION: This method for preserving the biodegradable resin is to preserve by keeping≤1.5% water content in a preserving atmosphere. As the biodegradable resin, the aliphatic polyester-based resin is preferable, especially the aliphatic polyester having main recurring units consisting of an aliphatic dicarboxylic acid unit and aliphatic diol unit is preferable, and the amount of acid terminals is preferably≤50 equivalent/ton.
