PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent lifting up of a sleeve when an optical element is taken out of a mold and the sleeve by the suction of the element, in a suction head, and an apparatus and method for manufacturing the optical element. SOLUTION: In the suction head 1 which is mounted on an apparatus 10 for manufacturing the optical element by positioning a simple optical element 16 or an optical element 16 unified with a frame 17 by a sleeve 13 and forming and which has a suction part 4 for sucking the optical element 16 after forming, a pressing member 2 is provided for pressing the sleeve 13 when the optical element 16 is sucked after forming.
