PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a shredder capable of easily manufacturing the opening of the shredder narrowed in opening width and elongated in the route reaching a shredding mechanism without largely increasing cost. SOLUTION: The shredder is constituted so as to shred the shredding target inserted from its opening part by the shredding mechanism and equipped with an upper surface member and the opening forming member joined to the upper surface member to form the opening part. The opening forming member is joined to the upper surface member to form the opening part and the guide passage going toward the shredding mechanism from the opening part, the opening forming member is formed of a plurality of members partitioning a hollow member along a fitting direction and the members are brought into contact with each other to be bonded to the upper surface member to form the opening part.
