A disk device having a thinned tilt adjustment section. A tilt adjustment member (404) of the tilt adjustment section (400) moves an optical pickup drive section (307) along a guide surface (401a). This adjusts an optical axis (303c) of a light beam (303b), which is applied from an optical pickup (303), to be vertical to a disk (200). Because the tilt adjustment member (401) moves in the direction tilted relative to the guide surface (401a) and vertical to the optical pickup drive section (307), the amount of movement of the tilt adjustment member (404) can be made less than a required tilt adjustment amount of the optical pickup drive section (307), and this enables the tilt adjustment section (400) to be thinned. The forward end of the optical pickup drive section (307) is urged by an urging member (405) so as to be in contact with the tilt adjustment member (404) and guide surface (401a), so that the forward end of the optical pickup drive section (307) is adjusted without play in the direction of approaching to and separating from the disk (200). |
