The unit (1) has a retaining unit for retaining a towing rope (Z), and a connecting unit for connecting the towing rope with an elongated component (F). The connecting unit includes a moving unit for moving a bearing of the unit on the elongated component along a longitudinal axis. A bearing of the connecting unit is moved in a longitudinal groove i.e. T- groove, that is provided in the elongated component. An independent claim is also included for a pulling device comprising a towing rope.
