PAPER FEEDING UNIT AND IMAGE FORMING APPARATUS HAVING THE SAME

A paper feeding unit and an image forming apparatus having the same are provided to feed papers smoothly by increasing elastic force of a spring applied to a paper lifting plate and paper feeding force of a pick-up device. A paper feeding unit and an image forming apparatus having the same comprise a paper feeding cassette(30), a paper lifting plate(40), a pick-up device(50), and a control unit. The paper feeding cassette is coupled to a main body(10) of the image forming apparatus. The paper lifting plate is installed to the paper feeding cassette so as to load papers. The pick-up device feeds papers loaded in the paper lifting plate in a single sheet. The control unit varies paper feeding force for feeding papers loaded in the paper lifting plate.
