<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enable a user to easily grasp correspondence between a plurality of printer devices connected to a network and a printer presented on a printer list displayed at a client side. <P>SOLUTION: In a television receiver 1 that is a client, a printer list image 100 is displayed and a list of available printers is presented. When a call button 103 disposed in the printer list image 100 is operated thereafter, the television receiver 1 calls via the network, a printer device selected at that time. In response to the call, a printer device 2 performs operation such as moving its own mechanism or making an indicator emit light, for example.
