PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a road surface protective material easy to walk on, without feeling fatigue to feet, by maintaining the appearance of a lawn over a long period, without generating bread mold by entirely drying after rain, without easily slipping in a rainy day. SOLUTION: This road surface protective material is constituted by adhering and fixing a pile, by applying a resin emulsion composition 23 to a reverse surface of a tufted pile fabric web of implanting a pile 22 having the total fineness of 1,500 to 3,000 dtex in base cloth 21. The base cloth is a texture using plastic tape yarn of kneading carbon black. The carbon black is blended with a resin emulsion. Pile yarn is formed into plastic of kneading a green pigment, and forms a flat cross-sectional shape having a width of 0.2 to 0.6 mm and having the thickness of 1/4 or less of the width, and is composed of a plurality of strips of tape yarns having winding contraction of bending in the longitudinal direction, by setting single fiber fineness to 50 to 120 dtex. A basis weight unit of a pile layer is set to 240 to 400 g/m<SP>2</SP>, and the thickness of the pile layer is set to 4 to 8 mm. COPYRIGHT: (C)2008,JPO&INPIT
