PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a restoration method for an existing building, which can promote restoration work for the existing building, and an execution scheme drawing and a status record drawing of restoration work for the existing building. SOLUTION: This restoration method comprises: a basic design step (S10) of performing a preliminary survey which includes consensus building among dwellers on the basis of a questionnaire and a survey of a structure of the existing building; an execution scheme step (S20) of creating the work execution plan which enables the restoration work to be performed under the state of allowing the dwellers to live in the existing building, on the basis of the result of the preliminary survey; a construction management step (S30) of executing the restoration work; and a repair and reinforcement recording step (S40) of creating a status record in which the status of the existing building before and after the restoration work is recorded. The work execution plan includes a work execution scheme drawing in which an existing drawing, a demolition drawing, a reinforcement drawing, and a completion drawing are described on one sheet. The status record includes a status record drawing in which a position drawing, a reinforcement drawing, and photographs before and after reinforcing work are described on one sheet.
