摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To widen an opening portion of a liquid level in a liquid droplet ejection head using focused ultrasonic waves; to suppress the evaporation and leakage of a liquid; and to enable the high-speed ejection of a liquid droplet. SOLUTION: This liquid droplet ejection head 20 comprises: a liquid retention means 14b for retaining a liquid 14; an ultrasonic-wave generating means which is equipped with a piezoelectric element 11 acoustically connected to the liquid; an ultrasonic-wave focusing means 12 for focusing the ultrasonic waves generated from the piezoelectric element; and an ejection port 16 which is provided in a part of the liquid retention means, so as to eject the liquid droplet from the liquid level of the liquid by the focused ultrasonic waves. The liquid droplet ejection head 20 is characterized as follows: the ejection port 16 is formed as a reticulated structure; and the thickness d of a mesh is set to less than (2/3)λand the opening width w of the mesh is set to (1/2)λor more, whereinλrepresents the wavelength of the ultrasonic wave.
