PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a capacitor microphone unit and a capacitor microphone in which frequency response characteristics can be improved by a simple arrangement at a low cost. SOLUTION: The capacitor microphone unit comprises a unit case 1, a front plate 11 integral with the unit case 1, and incorporated components including a diaphragm 3, and a fixed electrode 5 opposing the diaphragm 3 through a clearance incorporated into the unit case 1. A hole constituting a front acoustic terminal 12 is formed at the front plate 11 of the unit case 1, the peripheral part of the hole forms a tube 18 extending inward and the tube 18 is longer than the thickness of the front plate 11. The outer peripheral part of the diaphragm 3 is bonded to one end face of a ringlike diaphragm holder 2, and the surface of the diaphragm holder 2 on the side opposite to the diaphragm bonding surface abuts against the inner surface of the front plate 11 to form an acoustic chamber 20 corresponding to the thickness of the diaphragm holder 2 between the inner surface of the front plate and the diaphragm 3, and the tube 18 intrudes into the acoustic chamber 20.
