PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image processing system configured to recognize a character in an edited area of a photographed image. SOLUTION: In this image processing system, an image photographing means photographs an image including characters, a display means displays the image taken by the image photographing means, an editing means edits the characters in the image displayed by the display means according to an operation by an operator, and a character recognition means recognize characters in the area, of the image edited by the editing means.
