PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a camera mirror device having a main mirror and a sub-mirror and a camera having the camera mirror device, the camera mirror device sufficiently absorbing impact caused by turning of the sub-mirror and sufficiently bringing the leading end of the sub-mirror into contact with the main mirror. SOLUTION: The camera mirror device includes: the main mirror having a first hold member holding a first mirror and turnable between a finder observation position and an exposure retraction position; and the sub-mirror having a second holding member holding the second mirror and disposed so as to be turnable relative to the main mirror. A shock absorbing member is disposed on the side face of the first holding member for absorbing shock applied to the main mirror due to the sub-mirror by striking against the second hold member when turning toward the main mirror.
