PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a manufacturing method of a display medium in which a fluid dispersion having charged particles dispersed can easily be charged to desired density. SOLUTION: A fixed body 23 sealed while reduced in pressure in cells C is dipped in the dispersion medium 30 which is placed in an environment of atmospheric pressure higher than that in liquid chambers R (respective cells C) and has charged particles 31 dispersed, and a portion of the fixed body 23 is opened in this state. Since the dispersion medium 30 having the charged particles 31 dispersed is placed in the environment of atmospheric pressure higher than that in the liquid chambers R (respective cells C), vaporization of the dispersion medium 30 before charging is suppressed as usual.
