PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a timepiece dial plate expressing aesthetic appearance and high-class view comparable to use precious stones by the use of no precious stones, such as diamond, sapphire, ruby, opal, pearl, and jade. SOLUTION: The timepiece dial plate is characterized by including decorations consisting of materials other than precious stones, decoration fixing means containing no fixed pawls to fix the decorations to a visible surface of the timepiece dial plate, and a plurality of quasi-pawls deployed near the decorations on the visible surface of the timepiece dial plate surrounding decorations. Since a plurality of quasi-pawls are deployed near the decorations to surround the decorations, the decorations made of no precious stones provide the illusion as if precious stones are fixed to the dial plate by a conventional fixed pawl. Metal parts, for example, processed with decorative cut are adopted as decorations. Possibly, components composed with crystal glass are adopted as decorations. COPYRIGHT: (C)2008,JPO&INPIT
