PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a strain detector that can certainly prevent peeling of an insulated layer from a strain element when an excessive load is charged, and thus can stabilize the output signal. SOLUTION: In this strain detector, a hole 13 disposed in the outer surface of the strain element 11 is constituted in a spherical shape, and a narrow part 13a is disposed in a proximity part of the outer surface of the strain element 11 in the spherical hole 13.
