PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To make integuments of roe which have been treated as wastes, socially and industrially useful by inspecting characteristics of a decomposition product of the same and make an effective use of such a composition by utilizing the characteristics. SOLUTION: The invention relates to a medicinal composition which is composed of decomposition products of contractile proteins of integuments of roe such as a codfish, a herring or a salmon, especially amino acids and peptides which are decomposition products by a protease produced by Bacillussubtilis and has an effect of inhibiting the reduction of functions of pancreas and liver. The composition is used as an ingredient for health food and pharmaceuticals and thus, makes it possible to reuse the roe integuments which have been treated as wastes. COPYRIGHT: (C)2008,JPO&INPIT
