PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a vacuum cleaner for shortening the charging time of a secondary battery. SOLUTION: A power cord 35 is connected to a commercial power source, and the secondary battery 41 is charged through a charging power source means with power obtained by reducing the average driving power of an electric blower 2 from the maximum power from the commercial power source. The electric blower 2 is driven by the commercial power through the power cord 35 for operation modes.
