<p>3-(trans-4-(dialkoxymethyl)cyclohexylmethoxy)-1,2-difluorobenzenes (I) are new. 3-(trans-4-(dialkoxymethyl)cyclohexylmethoxy)-1,2-difluorobenzenes (I) of formula (3) are new. R 1, R 2 = H, 1-15C alkyl or 2-15C alkenyl, or R 1+R 2 is CH 2CH 2 or CH 2CH 2CH 2. Independent claims are also included for: (1) a process for preparing (I); (2) trans-4-(dialkoxymethyl)cyclohexylmethyl derivatives (II) of formula (2); (3) trans-4-(dialkoxymethyl)cyclohexylmethanols of (III) of formula (1).
