The device (1) has a camera (11) for optical recording of an event, and a microphone (12) for acoustic recording of the event. A control unit (13) controls the camera and the microphone in an operation of the device for production of video pictures and audio pictures. A processing unit (14) automatically converts the video pictures and the audio pictures into a common output file. The device is formed and provided to cooperate with an external interface (2) for providing the output file to a prospective customer (4) e.g. professor, and for controlling the device. An independent claim is also included for a method for production of a multimedia picture of an event.
