<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image forming apparatus that can achieve improved workability for maintenance, can achieve the compactness and neatness of a signal line and a power source line, and moreover enables the cost thereof to be reduced by eliminating a fall preventing member. <P>SOLUTION: The image forming apparatus has: an engine body 2 which has image forming means, transfer means, fixing means, transport means and the like, and which performs an image forming operation, a transfer operation, a fixing operation and the like; and a rear surface unit which has housed items such as a power source device 10, a control device 4, and an exhaust device 11, and which is configured to be detachable from the engine body. The rear surface unit 3 has a unit body 3a for housing the housed items, the unit body 3a is detachable from the engine body 2, the control device housed in the rear surface unit has a box shape, and one end of the control device 4 is rotatably linked to the engine body 2 while the other end thereof is rotatably linked to the unit body 3a. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2008,JPO&INPIT |
