<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a speed detection device of an elevator capable of detecting the speed of a car without applying a special processing to a guide rail. <P>SOLUTION: This speed detection device comprises a coil 52 secured to the car 7 and generating an eddy current in the guide rail 12 by generating pulse magnetic fluxes toward the guide rail 12 guiding and moving a guide shoe 14 connected to the car 7, a pulse voltage generating part applying a pulse voltage signal to the coil 52, a first detector 53 secured to the car 7, positioned above the pulse voltage generating part, detecting the eddy current magnetic fluxes generated by the eddy current, and generating a first position detection signal, a second detector 56 secured to the car 7, positioned below the pulse voltage generating part, detecting the eddy current magnetic fluxes, and generating a second position detection signal, and a speed calculation part providing the speed of the car 7 according to the pulse voltage signal and the first and second position detection signals. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2008,JPO&INPIT |
