METHOD AND APPARATUS FOR TREATING DUST

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method, by which dust contained in the exhaust gas to be discharged from an electric furnace is treated hygienically while making efficient and effective use of useful metals contained in the dust, and also to provide an apparatus for the same. SOLUTION: The method for treating dust comprises the steps of: filtering the exhaust gas to be discharged from the electric furnace X by a dust collector S; forming the dust to be discharged from the dust collector S into a dust pellet by using a pelletizer P; and returning the molded dust pellet to an electric furnace facility by pneumatic transportation to treat the returned dust pellet in the electric furnace X.
