<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a video signal processor enabling the wasteful power consumption thereof to be reduced and a method therefor. <P>SOLUTION: The video signal processor has: a plurality of pixel data processing circuits (PE) for producing a plurality of second pixel data from a plurality of first pixel data; a depth data comparison circuit for comparing a plurality of first depth data (z) of the plurality of first pixel data with second depth data of a plurality of third pixel data stored in a storage means in accordance with the plurality of first depth data; and a control means for stopping operation of the pixel data processing circuit which does not need to perform processing on the basis of a comparison result. Preferably, the control means stops supplying a driving clock signal for the corresponding pixel data processing circuit (PE) when the control means decides that the third pixel data stored in the storage means are not overwritten by the second pixel data. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2008,JPO&INPIT</p> |
