PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To quickly predict a prediction true value by simpler operations. SOLUTION: Data y<SB>0</SB>to y<SB>n-1</SB>forming a series of n data äy<SB>0</SB>, y<SB>1</SB>, ..., y<SB>n-1</SB>} are sequentially supplied to a prediction device 100 and stored in memories 131-0 to 131-(n-1). Multiplication circuits 113-i (i=0 to n-1) multiply the data y<SB>i</SB>by serial numbers i. A prediction true value computation circuit 114 multiplies the products of the data y<SB>i</SB>multiplied by the serial numbers i by predetermined coefficients stored in a coefficient value memory table 115 to compute errorless true data (prediction true value) y<SB>0</SB>' of the latest data y<SB>n-1</SB>in the data series äy<SB>0</SB>, y<SB>1</SB>, ..., y<SB>n-1</SB>}, and outputs it via a data line 125.
