PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image processor, efficiently recognizing a face. SOLUTION: This image processor includes: a detecting means (a control part 20c) for detecting the direction of image data to be processed; a face recognition means (a face recognition processing part 20i) for performing the face recognition processing for recognizing the face in the image data by a recognition parameter corresponding to the direction of an image detected by the detecting means; and a correcting means (an image processing part 20e and a correction parameter calculating part 20j) for correcting the image data according to the recognition result of the face recognition means.
