PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for cleaning a structural member, by which high cleaning ability can be attained, a cleaning process can be simplified, and the high energy-saving effect of a cleaning liquid (a surfactant with pure water) or the like can be achieved, and to provide a method for cleaning a structural member for an image forming apparatus, the method being simple and showing excellent cleaning power with less environmental load in a recycling-oriented society. SOLUTION: The method includes: cleaning a base body for a photoreceptor, being the structural member constituting the image forming apparatus, a base body for a heat roll or a base body for a charging roller with an aqueous solution containing nano-bubbles; and particularly, atomizing an aqueous solution containing nano-bubbles, depositing it on the structural member, and cleaning the structural member.
