PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an armature for an electric motor excellent in magnetic balance in which a winding time of armature core can be shortened. SOLUTION: A winding 12 wound in the forward direction between winding start slots 11a and 11b is wound between respective preceding slots while skipping slots 11g and 11h adjoining in the reverse direction, a slot clearance at the end of winding is set between the slots 11g, 11h, and the slot 11h closer to the winding start slots 11a and 11b out of the slots 11g and 11h adjoining in the reverse direction is set as a slot for drawing out the end-of-winding 40.
