PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a lead acid storage battery used for an uninterruptive power supply unit or an emergency power supply device in which a discharge capacity during high rate discharge and a maintenance rate of the lead acid storage battery capacity at a trickle use, that is, a trickle life can be improved simply. SOLUTION: The lead acid storage battery is made by maturing and drying an unformed positive plate in which a positive electrode active material paste kneaded by adding a prescribed amount of water and diluted sulfuric acid in lead powder is filled into a lattice substrate and an unformed negative plate formed similarly.
