PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a high-reliability electric motor that is high in impact resistance and rotation performance, while being compact. SOLUTION: The electric motor includes a sleeve 3 that rotatably supports a rotor axis 5 and at the outer circumference portion, of which a flange portion 3B is formed; a cylindrical sleeve holder 2 for holding the sleeve 3; a rotor hub 6, having an annular wall portion 6A which is concentric with the rotor axis 5 and integrally rotating with the rotor axis 5; and a cylindrical inner drum 8 fixed, in the inside of the annular wall portion 6A of the rotor hub 6 so as to surround the sleeve 3 and the sleeve holder 2, and one end face of which is brought into contact with the inside 6Bf of the rotor hub 6 in the axial direction. In the inner circumference portion of the inner drum 8, an annular protruding portion 8A, which is sandwiched in between the flange portion 3B of the sleeve 3B and one end face of the sleeve holder 2 is formed; a thrust bearing portion TB1 where a lubrication agent is sandwiched in between the annular protruding portion 8A and the flange portion 3B is formed; and a thrust bearing portion TB2, where the lubrication agent is interposed in between the annular protruding portion 8A and the one end face of the sleeve holder 2 is formed.
