PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve the wiping performance while preventing foreign substances from adhering again to other nozzle holes when wiped by a wiper. SOLUTION: The inkjet recorder includes both a recording head 1 where a plurality of nozzle arrays 20Y, 20C, 20M and 20Bk having nozzle holes 18Y, 18C, 18M and 18Bk arranged each in one array are prepared at a nozzle face 16, and a wiping mechanism 22 which wipes the nozzle face 16 by the wiper 24. The wiping mechanism 22 moves the wiper 24 while making the wiper 24 touch the nozzle face 16. A movement direction of the wiper 24 is along the nozzle arrays 20Y, 20C, 20M and 20Bk, with a tilting angleθto the nozzle arrays 20Y, 20C, 20M and 20Bk. The tilting angleθis smaller than an angleαdefined by a straight line L to the nozzle arrays 20Y, 20C, 20M, 20Bk which connects the nozzle holes 18Y, 18C, 18M, 18Bk at a wiping start of the nozzle arrays 20Y, 20C, 20M, 20Bk, and the nozzle holes 18Y, 18C, 18M, 18Bk at a wiping end of the adjacent array with each other.
