<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a lighting system allowing a driver of an automobile to easily view a pedestrian or the like on a sidewalk. <P>SOLUTION: This lighting system is provided with: sidewalk-side light source parts 42 irradiating the sidewalks with light having a spectral characteristic rich in blue-green light; and roadway-side light source parts 41 irradiating the road with light having a spectral characteristic rich in green-red light. The spectral characteristic of the light emitted from the sidewalk-side light source part 42 is set so that a value I<SB>P</SB>obtained from expression (1) is set larger than a value I<SB>C</SB>obtained from expression (1) from the spectral characteristic of the light emitted from the roadway-side light source 41. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2008,JPO&INPIT |
