PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a mobile robot capable of preventing deterioration in detection accuracy of a detection section, and obtaining a clear voice by reduce noise. SOLUTION: A mobile robot, which moves on a road surface in an outdoor supervised area by a moving means and collects voices in the supervised area, includes a sound collection section for collecting voices in the surroundings of the mobile robot, the detection section for detecting environmental information in either the surroundings or the moving direction of the mobile robot, a water drop removal section for removing water drops attached to a detection window by blowing air on the detection window of the detection section, and a control section for controlling initiation or suspension of the water drop removal section. The control section suspends the operation of the water drop removal section when external outputting or recording of the voice signals collected by the sound collection section is to be executed.
