<p>Heat transfer device (50) and method of producing such a device is disclosed herein. In a disclosed embodiment, the heat transfer device (50) comprises a cover plate (51) and a base plate (52) to form a housing. The heat transfer device (50) further includes liquid coolant and a layer of sorbent (60) capable of completely sorbing the liquid coolant. The heat transfer device (50) also includes a pressure tension member (70) arranged to impart continuous pressure to selected regions of the sorbent layer (60) to create greater vapour space to increase the heat transfer efficiency.</p> |
