<p>A wireless communication system is provided to define a protocol with respect to an RS(Relay Station) to process reception packets and reduce physical overhead by classifying and combining reception packets by the RS. A BS(Base Station) simultaneously performs communication with MSs(Mobile Stations) by exchanging packets in conformity of layered protocols of a system. The packets include the first part for defining physical layer parameters and the second part for defining MAC(Media Access Control) parameters. Communication between the MSs and the BS is performed via RSs, and the RSs receive a plurality of packets from the MSs. The second parts of the respective packets are detected, the detected second parts are combined to form the second part of at least one new packet, and the new packet is transmitted to the BS.</p> |
